Regulations

19 th International Nida Half-Marathon, Lithuania Half Marathon Championship and Youth and Veteran Championship regulations:

 

  1. ORGANIZATION

 

VšĮ „NIDOS PUSĖS MARATONO BĖGIMAS“ together with Neringa Municipality, Athletic Federation of Lithuania and ,,Kertus” Running Club on September 29th of 2018 are organizing and leading the 19th International Nida Half-Marathon Running.

 

  1. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
  2. Motivate people do sports and take interest in sports events
  3. Spread the word about running and track-and-field athletics in Lithuania
  4. Increase the number of massive events in Nida
  5. Give a rise for physical activity and running as a way of healthy lifestyle
  6. Discover the strongest athletes in all categories of age
  7. Extend the season of tourism in Neringa

 

III. RACE DISTANCES

 

Participants are invited to compete in the following distances:

  • Nida Half-marathon – 21,098 km;
  • Lemminkainen running – 5 km;
  • Kids marathon – 2 km;
  • Toddler marathon – 0.5 km.

 

III. PLACE AND TIME OF THE RACE

 

10:00 A.M. – 0,5 km and 2 km, start near the Nida Municipality square

11:00 A.M. – 21.098 km Nida Half-marathon, start near the Nida post office

13:00 val. –  5 km, start near Nida bus station

 

Place and time can be more specified.

 

  1. FINISH TIME

 

  1. Nida Half-marathon – 3 h 30 min.
  2. 5 km – 1 h 30 min.

Electronic system of time measurement will be turned off at 2.30 P.M. on the day of the race and the time will not be recorded from that on. At 3 P.M. the city streets are opened.

 

  1. PARTICIPANTS

 

  1. All willing are welcomed to participate after filling in the participant card, checked in their health, accessed the regulations and confirmed it on the day of the registration. Everyone’s participation is based on free will, forced by no one and fully responsible of their own risks during the race (including unexpected health problems, etc.) and commits to have no claims for the organization team.
  2. Participants must have personal identification document during the registration process.
  3. With the registration to the event everyone authorizes the acquisition of the rights to use images or videos in they appear for marketing purposes without additional permission of the participant.
  4. With the registration to the event everyone agrees upon receiving official ,,Nida Half-Marathon” newsletters.
  5. Only people who 17 and older can participate in half marathon.

5km Running has no age limit.

 

Children running age groups:

2 km.: 2001-2002 – M+V; 2003-2004 – M+V; 2005-2006 – M+V;

0,5 km.: 2007 and younger – M+V.

 

  1. Under-aged participants regardless their distance must have their parents permission printed out and signed during the registration process.
  2. To enroll in the 19 th International Nida Half-Marathonn, participants understand and accept that they must have the physical fitness to run the desired distance and obey the demand of medical examination by law of the Republic of Lithuania.  If needed, participants must present the medical examination form to the organizers. Race organizers reserve the right to disqualify any race participant that is observed with unsuitable physical health by any person and must consult with a doctor.
  3. Each runner understands and confirms, that the organizers do not answer for and will not make up for the damage of their health or life. Participants are fully responsible for their health disorders, injuries and accidents during the event.

 

  1. SPECIAL CONDITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS

 

  1. Participants are allowed to register only by their own name. It is prohibited to give the number of the participant to other participants. Participants who are unwilling to abide by this rule will be disqualified and the results will not be counted in the race protocol.
  2. Participants are allowed to change the chosen distance with the request for distance change and the fee – 5 Eur. By upgrading the distance participants are requested to pay the difference between the paid charge and the new distance charge. Participants are allowed to change the information given on the registration form (name, last name, the name of the running club/team or any other given information). The change of the registration form fee – 5 Eur.
  3. The change of the given data is done after the fee is paid and the organizers are informed by email info@nidarun.lt, with a letter and the attachment of the payment statement and the changes of the information.

  1. The changes of the distance and the information can be done until September 14th 2018 inclusive.
  2. Each participant is obligated to have their fully visible race number and worn on the front of the torso.
  3. It is prohibited to run without a fully visible race number. Participants who are unwilling to abide by this rule will be disqualified.
  4. Participants and the supporters are not allowed to use vehicles during the race – bicycles, roller-skates, skateboards or any other wheeled vehicles. Participants who are unwilling to abide by this rule will be disqualified.
  5. Participants are prohibited to use any kind of  escort during the race. Participants who are unwilling to abide by this rule will be disqualified.
  6. It is prohibited to be guided by animals or lead them on the track during the event. Participants who are unwilling to abide by this rule will be disqualified.
  7. Each participant is required to firmly attach their race number with timing microscheme on their t-shirt. Participants who run the race without their timing microscheme properly attached risk not having their times recorded and listed in the race protocol.  
  8. All timing microschemes are single use and given.
  9. Participants are not allowed to change the track (without the permit of referee) during the race. Participants who are unwilling to abide by this rule will be disqualified.
  10. Any kind of written claims must be given in the first 30 minutes after the end of the race. By making the claim, participant is required to pay a fee – 30 Eur, that will be given back only if the Board of Appeal (CEO, chief referee, LAF representative) comply with the claim. No claims are considered without paying the fee.

 

 VII. SPECIAL STOPS ON TRACK

 

  1. On the track of Half-Marathon participants will be able to refresh with energy drinks, water and fruits on the refreshment stops placed in every 5 km distance.

2.On the track of Half-Marathon participants will be able to use composting toilets.

 

VIII. EXTRA SERVICES FOR PARTICIPANTS

1.On the day of the race participants are allowed to leave their belongings in the storage. All belongings must be put in zip-in or stringed gym bag.

  1. Participants are allowed to use composting toilets in the gathering places near the start of the race.

 

  1. AWARDS

– 1st-3rd place winners of Nida Half-Marathon race: women and men are awarded with winners cups; 1st-6st place winners: women and men – monetary rewards.

– Nida Half-Marathon race 1st place winners (woman and man) are given a double room for two nights for free. (Winners are not allowed to let their rooms to other people).

– 1st-3rd place winners of Youth and Veteran Championship are awarded with prizes.

– Each Half-Marathon participant gets a certificate.

– 1st-3rd place winners of 5km race: women and men – prizes.

– 1st-3rd place winners of 2km and 0.5km age group races are awarded with diplomas and prizes.

– Best runners in Neringa: woman and man – prizes.

– The youngest and oldest participants – prizes.

– The most massive club/company – prizes.

– Woman and man broke the record of Nida Half-Marathon – monetary prize of 110 Eur (only the 1st place winners).

After finishing the race each participant gets souvenirs of the race!

  1. REGISTRATION FOR PARTICIPANTS AND RACE NUMBERS

 

  1. Participants can register on the official website www.nidarun.lt until September 25th 12 A.M. (Midnight). Participant is considered registered after paying the fee on Paysera system.
  2. On September 28th registration will be carried out by Nidos KTIC „AGILA“.
  3. In order to take the race number or race package of another participant, the ID copy of another participant must be presented.
  4. The content of race package must be checked by the participant in the give away point. After the give away, the lack of content in the race package, is not supplemented. After the race the race packages are not given.

 

Organizers reserve the right to change the rules of the race.
